The Bridge-Builder Network exists for the moment of arrival — the paperwork and the homesickness, the first job and the first friend. We help Africans navigating life in the UK settle in, and we celebrate the people who light the way.
Through resources, recurring events and a warm network of volunteers, mentors and partners, we make the journey of settling something no one has to face by themselves. Belonging is built together.

Part memoir, part guide, this book traces the journey of arrival — the paperwork and the homesickness, the first job and the first friend, the slow and beautiful work of turning a foreign country into home.
Drawing on lived experience and the stories of those who came before, it offers both a mirror and a map for every African navigating life in the UK — and a tender call to those with the means to help build the bridge.
